Overall Monitoring of Car Battery Health
Battery Test – This battery tester shows data as CCA value/rating, voltage, internal resistance, state of health (SOH), and state of charge (SOC) to keep a close eye for any signs of battery weakness. You can take the battery to any auto center but probably will have the same result.
Charging Test – This battery load tester can analyze the components such as generator, rectifier, rectifier diode, etc. in your vehicle’s charging system, to check if the battery can get enough juice from the alternator to stay charged. The diode ripple test is designed to see if there is an issue with the voltage regulator in the alternator.
Cranking Test – This 12V battery tester will display the cranking voltage, and the cranking time in milliseconds, to check if the electrical system can generate enough power to start the engine. The cranking voltage < 9.6V is abnormal, normally due to a low battery or a loose or corroded battery cable connection.
*CANNOT test the lithium battery, or the solar battery that is NOT made up of lead-acid cells.
*A full battery charge is NOT necessary before testing.
Test Wide Array of Batteries
This small yet powerful 12V lead-acid battery tester features the automatic built-in short circuit, and reverse polarity protection. Also, the clamps are reinforced with all-metal construction, covered with high-quality ABS, no-melt and smoke-free.
Working together with TOPDON Phoenix (Pro), Plus, Lite diagnostic tablets, this 12V battery tester can safely test regular flooded, AGM flat plate, AGM spiral, GEL, and EFB batteries.
Multiple rating systems are supported: CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN, SAE, and GB, being ideal to test the battery systems in varied vehicles such as motor vehicles, RVs, light trucks, motorcycles, boats, ATVs and more.
